When the patient arrives for a scheduled test, the receptionist checks the demographic information of the patient, corrects, if anything needs update and marks patient as having arrived. Pressing the “arrived” button produces multiple actions: -generates a unique accession number for the dicom images and sends that number with patient”s demographic information into the modality work list (MWL) of the proper modality for that test. Each test is associated with the proper modality. |

To view the images, physician opens the worksheet for the desired test and click “Show Images” button which then opens the Cerebrum image viewer in the separate window and loads the DICOM pictures for the specified test (by accession number stored with the worksheet) into the viewer and allows viewing images in one window while completing the worksheet in another. |
The DICOM Viewer will at all times display the patient’s name, exam date, frame rate, and patient vitals including ECG and Heart Rate(taken directly from the machine at the time of the test) Thumbnails of all videos and images are displayed on the right hand column, to select an image/video, double click on the desired thumbnail for viewing. Currently selected thumbnail for viewing will be highlighted in green. The “Next” and “Previous” icon can also be used to view the following and previous image/video from the currently selected thumbnail. |
