Riverside Cardiology

At Riverside Cardiology, we switched from Accuro to Cerebrum™. The advantages of Cerebrum™ include: the ease of scheduling, billing, clinic note generation, test interpretation and distribution. There was no other EMR that could meet the needs of our busy outpatient practice of 8 cardiologists. We have been very happy with the performance and support of Cerebrum™ EMR.

Ottawa Cardiovascular Centre

At the Ottawa Cardiovascular Center which services 15 cardiologists and internists, 40 staff and 100 computers at two sites, we recently switched from a legacy EMR called ABELMed to the AWARE MD Cerebrum™ integrated cardiovascular EMR. The customizable physician interface has greatly enhanced our throughput. I am particularly enamored with the remote access features which deliver ready access to high quality images and digital tracings. I can interpret cardiovascular testing and sign off documents and tasks from anywhere. Voice dictation integrates smoothly into Cerebrum™ with excellent accuracy. All of our physicians have adapted readily to Cerebrum™. We will not look back.

PACE

PACE is a large outpatient cardiology practice. We employ 30 cardiologists and over 50 staff and see over 50000 patient visits per year. We were one of the first fully digital practices in Canada. We would not have been able to achieve it without Cerebrum™. We find Aware MD very receptive to our feedback and having started with Cerebrum™ 7 years ago use the system for everything from patient booking / scheduling to billing, test interpretation and reporting across the full spectrum of general cardiology and non-invasive imaging, payroll and business analytics. With Cerebrum™ we are able to distribute our reports and letters using HRM directly into the patient charts in referring physician EMR's and have access to Connecting Ontario, the Provincial repository of health information. An active participant in multiple investigator initiated and large randomized controlled trials PACE uses Cerebrum™ research engine to help find eligible patients. Finally Cerebrum™ has a unique interface to create clinical reminders prompting physicians to adhere to best practice based on individual patient data. Cerebrum™ helps PACE scale evidence based medicine from individual patients to entire communities we serve.

One Heart Cardiology

I have enjoyed the experience with Cerebrum™ since switching from my prior vendor in mid-2018. The complete integration of the clinical EMR with cardiac diagnostic reporting is a tremendous advantage for my workflow and has made my practice more efficient. The ‘visit page’ is well designed and easily customized. Once past the learning curve, the prescribing module is easy to use and a valuable tool in patient care. Billing is easy to do and billing reports are easily generated. I have found the support and responsiveness of the Cerebrum™ team to be excellent. Phone calls always seem to be immediately answered and emails are responded to promptly. There is an obvious willingness of the development team led by Dr. Langer to incorporate feedback into software updates.

CMD sees approximately 200 patients a day across its three clinics. The utilization of the Cerebrum™ has gr eatly reduced our operational cost and reduced our reporting cycle time, resulting in higher efficiencies and greater revenue retention.
